Venue Spotlight: Park Hyatt Aviara

The Park Hyatt Aviara recently underwent a $50 MILLION renovation. Yes, $50 million. To say we were anxious to get in there to see the transformation was an understatement, and boy did it live up to expectation. The property is located in Carlsbad, CA, and is the ultimate crown jewel of North County, San Diego. San Diego is known for being laid back, beachy, and no fuss. But what about the rest of us who want a bit of luxury? The Park Hyatt is the answer to our cries. The interior has a coastal feel with beautiful woods, blue and white tones, and furniture that feels Restoration Hardware inspired. Living in Carlsbad, you may not even know it’s there, as it is tucked away and build atop a hill overlooking Batiuitos Lagoon. The entrance feels windy and private, then opens dramatically to a grand building. Once you step inside, there are take your breath away ocean views. You might need a minute to oogle before heading over to reception.

There are so many options for ceremony, cocktails and reception:

• Grand Lawn- the main green lawn of the hotel with ocean views

• Patios- a more gardeny, intimate, backyard vibe with fireplaces

• Ballrooms both large and intimate- for after party and dancing

• California Salon- a gorgeous room with a private patio and white paneling and light wooden beamed ceiling- very coastal and chic

• Golf Course- Palmer Pavilion overlooks the green and lagoon for ceremony

Would like to give a huge shout out to the team who pulled out all of the stops. We had the most delicious lunch on the patio at Pacific Point- sushi, cheese plates, wine, everything you could want.
